Directions to Charlotte's Quest Nature Center: Manchester, MD

From the Westminster Area
Go to the intersection of MD RT 27 & MD RT 30.
Make a right hand turn on MD RT 30 heading South.
Go to the next light in the center of town (York ST).
Make a left on York ST.
Turn left onto Wilhelm Lane.
A sign saying Charlotte Quest Nature Center is on
the right side of the road.
Drive to the end of Wilhelm Lane.
From the Hampstead Area
MD RT 30 Heading North
Follow MD RT 30 to the town of Manchester.
At the light in Manchester
(Main ST, Westminster ST & York ST intersection)
Turn right onto York ST.
Turn left onto Wilhelm Lane and drive to the end of the lane.
From the Baltimore Area
MD RT 30 Heading North
Follow MD RT 30 through Upperco and Hampstead to the town of Manchester.
At the light in Manchester
(Main ST, Westminster ST & York ST intersection)
Turn right onto York ST.
Turn left onto Wilhelm Lane and drive to the end of the lane
From the Pennsylvania Area
PA RT 94 Heading South
Cross over the Mason/Dixon Line into Northern Maryland, MD RT 30
Follow MD RT 30 South into the Manchester.
Turn left onto York ST.
Turn left onto Wilhelm Lane and drive to the end of the lane.
HOURS OF OPERATION
Charlotte's Quest is under the direction of the Manchester Parks Foundation and the Town of Manchester. Charlotte's Quest Nature Center is operated by volunteers and one paid staff member, the Naturalist, and is maintained by donations, grants, memberships, and in-kind gifts. No government funding is received.
The Nature Center's Interpretive Building will be open the:
Our 4 1/2 miles of trails, Walnut Pond, the Stream of Life, the natural springs and forests are open everyday from dawn until dusk. You are welcome to park and walk in.
Feel free to park at the gate and walk in during the hours that the Interpretive Building is not open.
MISSION
It is the mission of the Manchester Parks Foundation to be stewards of the environment by protecting the watershed area and our precious natural resources, by teaching environmental education to the public, by the restoring of the native plants and animals, and by maintaining a diverse natural world.
