Welcome to Charlotte's Quest Nature Center
Charlotte's Quest is in need of people with special skills to help with current and future projects. We are looking for individuals who are proficient with the computer or willing and excited to learn how to maintain our Online Calendar, put together our newsletter, maintain our website or keep records of membership.
Are you a whiz with CGI? We need help with upgrading our forms mail. Some issues have arisen from the free service that we have been using. If you know how to write cgi scripts, WE NEED YOU!
Are you a take-charge kind of person? We could use your help with planning Charlotte's Quest's events. Our two major events of the year are Easter Adventure Egg Hunt and Spring Fest.
Do you have a way with words? You may want to search for and write grants to enhance and upgrade Charlotte's Quest.
Numbers your specialty? We could use you to help with bookkeeping, taxes and grant project figures.
For more information please call 410-374-3395 and leave your name, number and a brief message or email us. Click on the "Email Us" button at the top rightside of this page. We look forward to having you add your special touch to Charlotte's Quest. Sign up to volunteer today
The final games of the October Classic Bocce Tournament were held on Thursday night October 6, at the court in Manchester.
Five teams, the PVP's, Meatballs, Boh Ballers, Sausages, and Mixed Breeds met to complete the games that were delayed due to rain on Saturday. Every game was exciting with come-from-behind wins registered in every game, including the championship game. The Sausages from Hanover finished the tournament with a win against the Boh Ballers with a final ball that changed a winning point for the Boh Ballers to a winning point for the Sausages. Earlier, the Boh Ballers won their games against the Meatballs and the PVP's with similar throws. The final standings were first place, Sausage, second place, Boh Ballers and third, the PVP's.
Winners of the contests on Saturday were John Conigliaro, $15 from Pizza Garden, Linda Skinner, $25 from Spargos, and Ron Brett, $25 from Greenmount Station. The raffle for two dozen chocolate eclairs donated by Dutch Corner was won by Jimmy DePalmer and Ed Blankenship.
The tournament was held to promote the game of bocce while supporting Charlotte's Quest Nature Center. $740 was raised.
